The MAZTA eV tourist office was founded in December 2008. During the inaugural meeting the first board was elected. The lengthy and thorough preparation was worthwhile and rewarding. Since then, the Executive Board with the support of members, managed to win more associates through their continuous work. Currently, this association belongs to many members, that inspire to promote the touristic development of Madeira and the region of Calheta. On a general meeting held on November 29 2008, club members elected a new board. On November 24 2008, members renamed the Tourist Association of Calheta eV to MAZTA.
