From the parking lot in Paul da Serra a road(through a locked gate) leads you down to the Rabaçal shelter house.  Here you will encounter guides to PR.6 Levada das 25 Fontes and PR.6.1 Levada do Risco. In 5 minutes you will reach the levada do Risco, and from there just follow right, agains the waterflow direction. After 100 meters turn left at the Levada das 25 Fontes sign and follow the levada against the waterflow direction. A wide path leads you comfortably alongside the levada. Walk down the rock stairs and turn right, and, remember this area for the return trip. The beginning of the levada is quite wide, then a staircase will lead you down to a bridge which crosses a narrow gorge. After the bridge you will climb some stairs again, past a small waterhouse. The road after this is narrow and in some places the left side of the trail has some steep slopes surrounded by bushes. In most places you will witness beautiful views over the densely wooded green valley of Ribeira da Janela. Always follow the water channel and you will reach yet another bridge. Follow the path until it leads you to a half-moon shaped lagoon that borders a enormous cliff with numerous waterfalls known as the 25 natural springs.  To return, take the same path back through the forest to the shelter, up the road, through the gate until you reach the parking lot.
