Car and Motorbike Rentals in Madeira Island
The roads in Madeira are very winding and sometimes steep. It is therefore important for a rental car that it is regularly and thoroughly serviced.
The rental car will be handed over to you directly at the airport by a English-speaking employee, without queuing at the counter or long waiting times.

Madeira car hire prices include fully comprehensive insurance with € 800,- excess, unlimited mileage, a second driver license and all taxes. The deductible can be excluded by an additional insurance in the amount of € 6.90/day.
Note: as security, an amount of EUR 800 will be blocked on your credit card when the vehicle is handed over. If the rental period is longer than 14 days, the amount will be debited from your credit card.
If you do not have a credit card, you can also pay the deposit with an EC/MAESTRO card. Since such payments, in contrast to credit card payments, cannot be credited again, the only option is to transfer the amount paid back. € 20,- will be charged for this due to the expense involved.
Alternatively, you can also deposit € 800,- in cash when you pick up the car. When you return the rental car, you will be refunded the payment minus a €10,- processing fee.
The liability insurance for the rental vehicles includes a sum insured of EUR 50,000,000.00 for personal injury and property damage to third parties.
Hotel delivery in Machico/Santa Cruz/Canico/Garajau/Funchal area free of charge, provided certain conditions are met. Other locations on request.
Note: The driver must have held a valid driver's license for at least 3 years when the vehicle is handed over.
Additional fees:
Late delivery between 19:00h and 08:00h: 65,- Euro
Return airport between 04:00h and 08:00h: 20,- Euro
Port fee per service: 30,- Euro
Additional driver from the 3rd driver: 5,- Euro/day
Child/baby seat: 5,- Euro/day
Cancellation policy:
A cancellation fee of 50,- euros will be charged once the booking has been made.
Less than 61 days before the start of the rental period: 10% of the total amount
Less than 29 days before the start of the rental period: 30% of the total amount
