Quinta da Rochinha

Day 1 and 2

Ponta do Sol - Quinta da Rochinha ("Estalagem da Ponta do Sol)

Arrival and handover of the car rental with all the necessary documents.

Summary: You will receive everything you need for the up and coming week in written documents. You will then head up to Monte where a Gourmet Dinner and overnight at the Quinta do Monte awaits you. Why not take a trip to Funchal and check out the colourful market life,or, perhaps go to the botanical garden which is always in bloom year-round? A visit to the oldest winery, the "Adegas de São Francisco" for a glass of Madeira is a must! Or just relax ..... at a candle lit dinner at the Quinta do Monte.

Quinta do Arco

Day 3 and 4

São Jorge - Quinta do Arco

Over the Encumeada Pass with a view of the north and south coast it goes to São Vicente. Here you can visit the lava grottoes. Along the north coast it goes via Ponta Delgada and Boaventura to Arco de São Jorge. Here you stay at the Quinta do Arco. The quinta is embedded in a subtropical garden and has the largest rose garden in Portugal. From your accommodation you can take a detour to Santana, the place with the famous "little roof houses" or go to the Pico Ruivo, the highest mountain in Madeira. During the short hike to the summit you have magnificent views of the island's mountain range.

Quinta Alegre

Day 5 and 6

Calheta - Quinta Alegre

From São Jorge the journey continues on the fascinating coastal road to Porto Moniz. Here you will find the famous sea swimming pools with natural pools made of lava rock. A very special swimming pleasure. We continue to the westernmost tip of the island: Ponta do Pargo. The lighthouse offers wonderful views over the wild and romantic coast. Alternatively, you can take the road across the Paul da Serra plateau. Here you feel like you are in the Scottish high moor. It is worth taking a hike from Quinta Alegre. The nature reserve Rabaçal with its laurel forest and the rushing waterfalls is very close. Or you can relax by the pool with a great view of the Atlantic. A trip to whale and dolphin watching is also an option. There are several providers in Calheta for this.

Quinta Albatroz

Day 7

Santa Cruz - Quinta Albatroz

From Calheta you drive along the south coast. Visit the idyllic fishing village of Camara de Lobos, made famous not only by Winston Churchill, who painted some pictures here, but also from which Madeira's national drink "the Poncha" comes. Stroll through the car-free streets and along the beautiful Santa Cruz waterfront. Or drive under the airport and marvel at the impressive column construction. Dinner at Quinta Albatroz ("Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club")

Estalagem Santo da Serra

Day 8

Departure day

After breakfast you will depart in direction to the airport or continue for another week.
