1. Day

Arrival and drive to the hotel in Machico. Machico is the oldest settlement on the island and the second largest today.

2. Day

Today you hike the Eastern Cape with its unique rock formations

3. Day

Drive to Camacha, the village of basket weavers and start on the Levada da Serra from Camacha to Santo da Serra. You will be picked up at the destination of the hike.

4. - 6. Day

Hike from Santo da Serra to Ribeiro Frio, where you will be picked up and continued to Santana. Stay here for three nights and take the Achada do Teixeira summit hike to Pico Arieiro summit, the jungle Levada Caldeirão Verde and walk the coastal path to São Jorge.

7. and 8. Day

Get to know the capital Funchal. Visit the market hall with its exotic fruits, the winery or simply stroll through the gardens and parks.

9. - 11. Day

Now it's off to the south. Another completely different landscape. From Ribeira Brava, take the hike along the Levada Candelaria - and enjoy a day off.

12. - 14. Day

You hike through the Rabaçal nature reserve and visit the Calheta sugar cane factory. You stay three nights in the idyllic fishing village of Jardim do Mar. You walk along the Levada Nova from Prazeres to Amparo far into the west.

Transfer to the airport or connecting week.
