Santo da Serra is a romantic little town, above Machico and Santa Cruz, that is surrounded by eucalyptus and pine trees. This attractive town is filled with beautiful villas and country houses with lush gardens. The Quinta do Santo da Serra has a beautiful park with a fantastic view of the Machico valley all the way to the eastern tip of Ponta de São Lorenço. It is especially nice during the early summer when the hydrangeas are in bloom. Santo Antonio da Serra is also home to the Santo da Serra Golf Course, where are the annual "Madeira Iceland Open" played.
