A Jungle of Orchids...
Jardim Orquidea (The Orchid Garden), an authentic jungle of orchids, is located near the Botanical Gardens in Funchal.
Throughout the year you may marvel at more than 50,000 plants. This orchid paradise was created in 1991 by the Pregetter family from Austria, who has dedicated themselves to the study, research and development of plants for four generations.
At the Orchid Garden, you will find a little bit of everything ranging from large spectacular orchids to miniature orchid. The laboratory where these orchids are grown is open to the public giving you a great opportunity for an insight on their entire process.
A small café exists on property that serves Austrian Specialties with a splendid view over the city of Funchal
